  • Our future plans – Another blend?!? Shut the front door!
    • Because of the economy and recent events, we are going to be moving in with the Rossi family after our house sells. It benefits both our families tremendously, beyond the financial aspect. We also have another roomie moving in, and with the full count at 6 adults, 2 small children, 3 dogs, 3 cats and one fish, we are finding ourselves in another new realm to adjust to. Far improved from the empty nest, and with ample room for our sons to visit whenever they like.

Viv, Chooch, and Mistress Jett bring you our SPOILER FILLED thoughts on seeing the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1.

This episode is a little different from most others — no editing! Yep, “live to tape” to get our thoughts down and out as quickly as we can. Well, I suppose our live shows are that way.. Only this time there wasn’t a Con :-)

It’s almost 5:00 in the morning and I have to work tomorrow, so linkey links for show notes. But, we’ll get them up as soon as we can.

Simulcast in Podereo on the Balticon Podcast feed, we are proud to bring you the recording of the “NaNoWriMo for Noobs” panel recording. Now is the perfect time to get your outlines down and prepare to write that novel you’ve always wanted to in November!

From the Balticon program guide:

How it was won or lost
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a motivational novel-writing program for anyone who has wanted to write a novel but doesn’t know how to get started. The program provides guidelines, structure and countless tools for success yet many still do not complete the 50,000 words required to be a winner. This panel of NaNoWriMo participants and winners will discuss their strategies for success, and if finishing even matters.

Panelists include:

Episode 49: The Tao of Twitter

27 Sep

This week we bring you a departure from how we normally do things. This episode consists of an impromptu conversation that we had in the kitchen while nomming some tasty homemade pasta fagioli.

The topic of discussion is how people on Twitter tend to come across as Hundred Acre Wood characters. We talk about how we perceive ourselves, and how we think others may perceive us.

Please forgive the audio quality on this one. We just fired up our field recorder without really thinking about it. Just to capture the discussion and, perhaps, come back to it later. Looking back, we decided to go ahead and release it as is, without editing – aside from a couple quick cuts where there’s a loud noise, but that’s it. So it’s pretty raw and intimate. And slurp-tastic. In fact, one might even say we could stand to take an etiquette lesson or two.

Please e-mail us if it’s too distracting, as Viv is leaning towards not doing this type of recording again.

As we say in the recording, please chime in and let us know how you see yourself and perhaps how you think people perceive you!
