The Boom Effect

Just a quick plug for a web event happening next week called The Boom Effect. The event will start on Saturday, February 27th at 10AM Eastern time via UStream.

This charity drive is a live, online auction to raise money for the trust fund of Tee Morris’ daughter who lost her mother on January 5, 2010. There will be at least 5 hours of entertainment hosted by Podcasting’s Rich Sigfrit. We’ll be in the live audience cheering everybody on, and likely on camera on the main feed as well. It’s shaping up to be a really fun time. You’ll be able to bid from the chat room, through e-mail, proxy-bid on the website, and I think via video or audio on Skype or UStream.

And with over 70 items up for auction (so far!!) there is something for everyone to get excited about and bid for! Everything from jewelry, to pictures, paintings by celebrities, custom music, book dedications, food, clothes, signed DVDs and books, knitwear, and even Mozart’s Balls!! Seriously, go check out everything up for auction!

Hope to see you there!

Ep. 31 has been corrected

Thanks to Paulette Jaxton (Form Letter Rejection Theater) and Doug Rapson (Geek Acres) for quickly pointing out that there was a problem with episode 31. I’ve corrected and uploaded the file, but I’m not sure how long that will take to purculate through the Internets.

You can download the corrected version directly with this link. Sorry about that!

And now.. to the airport!! <huff huff>

Balticon43 NMP Promo 1

This is our first promo for the New Media Party at Balticon. We’ll be producing at least one more promo and will be linking them on our Balticon page.

Head over there for details on where we’ll be during the con as well as the unfolding details of the New Media Costume Party that we’ll be hosting.

Don't Mind Our Dust

It seems that our web host updated something which broke the podcast feed. Since there were a whole bunch of things that I’ve been meaning to update/fix that would have disrupted the feed as well, I’m taking the opportunity to address them all now.

One nasty side effect (which I absolutely hate as a listener) is that it may have caused the feed to puke up every episode as if they were new. I’m really, really sorry if it hits you. It’s something that happens now and then with podcast feeds 🙁

At this point, I think that I have the feed updated and working correctly. That was priority 1, so now I can start working on the other stuff. None of this other stuff should effect the feed, but it means that the site will be plain vanilla for awhile, and you might have some login errors until it stabalizes.

Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.

Episode 0 – Quantum I Tell Ya!

I am proud to bring you the debut episode of Into The Blender!

As a true tribute to the rigors and time constraints of a blended family (well ok, any family) this release is later than we wanted, but now we are on the map and ready to roll!

This episode is a quick introduction of ourselves, and some of the things we hope to explore with this podcast as a whole.

As stated in the episode, you can comment on each episode right here and send feedback, topic ideas, or comments to feedback@intotheblender.com

Almost there

The site has come together. The feed is active. The pre-production is mostly complete. Now we just need to get the time to actually record and we’ll be all set!

This was a rough weekend with lots to do. Perhaps we can squeeze in some time one night this week to record. In my head I figured we would release new episodes Wednesday or Thursday so Ep 0 still has a chance to live this week 🙂
